Employers and job seekers meet for local job fair

The Economic Development Corporation of Weslaco (EDC) in conjunction with WorkFORCE Solutions invited all job seekers to 4th annual event. "We had 20 businesses and over 400 applicants. It was a rip-roaring success!" said Marj Greene, EDC. "I heard about [the fair] through a family member and found it helpful. It gives us a lot more opportunities for work," said Reynalda C. Pompa of Weslaco. Many job seekers like her avoided having to go from place to place and took advantage of meeting with employers.
