Weslaco Retail Center Breaks Ground

An excess of 400,000 sq. ft. will be transformed into a shopping center to house large retailers such as JCPenney, Academy, and Lowe’s, as announced by Craig Carney, representing Warren Holdings and SDI Realty. Both companies recognized the Economic Development Corporation of Weslaco, Weslaco City Commission, and Attorney Zeke Reyna for their time and effort in making the development possible. Weslaco Chamber Red Coat Ambassadors, local dignitaries, and members of the community showed their support by attending the ceremony. The project is scheduled to be completed by Spring 2009.
