The Economic Development Corporation of Weslaco is moving from our current offices to our temporary headquarters at the Villa de Cortez Hotel located at 260 S. Texas Blvd, Suite 304, Weslaco, Texas. Our phone numbers and email addresses will remain the same.
Construction on the first phase of the new Weslaco Business Visitor & Event Center is beginning soon on the south side of City Hall. When the first phase is complete in early 2012, the Weslaco EDC’s new offices along with the Weslaco Area Chamber of Commerce will be adjacent to a new beautiful business visitor center complete with plenty of meeting room space. Once we are in the new office space, construction will begin on the Event Center where Weslaco can be host to trade shows and events that are too large for other venues in the Mid Valley.
As we move out of the space we have been in for more than four years, the Lower Rio Grande Valley Development Council is moving into the offices on Railroad bringing 75 jobs to Weslaco. We believe this move is a win-win as Weslaco gains a new event center and new jobs bringing new dollars to our
community.
